DELIVERY

Summoning his powers, the poet Yeats
Determined to make a lady think
Of a red rose inexhaustibly burning.
Unfortunately, the spirits involved
Seem to have been careless; she reported
A day filled with thoughts about a frog.
Presumably some frog fancier
Was driven half-mad, plagued as he was
With visions of a rose some lunatic
Had wantonly set on fire.
